West Memphis / Crittenden County District Court Judge Fred Thorne announced today a Second Chance Program for anyone with Failure to appear warrants and pending Misdemeanor warrants and traffic charges issued out of West Memphis District Court.

If you have an outstanding warrant you will have three different days you can come to the West Memphis District Court and meet with Officers to receive a citation to appear in West Memphis District Court without being arrested. The Failure to appear warrant will be recalled and your original charge will be processed through the court and you will be allowed to receive a time payment on your fine. There will be a $50.00 service fee applied toward balance of fines and cost accessed.

The Second Chance days will be:

Thursday, September 28th, 2017 from 9:00 am- 4:00pm

Thursday, October 12th, 2017 from 9:00am – 4:00 pm

Thursday, October 26th, 2017 from 9:00am-4:00pm

Court date for traffic warrants will be Tuesday October 31, 2017

City 8:30 am and County 1:30 PM

Criminal warrants will receive citations and set on regular court docket for plea.

Sheriff Mike Allen says “if you’re tired of looking over your shoulder or in your rearview mirror and want to get your warrant handled without getting arrested, act now! Just come to the West Memphis District Court on the above listed days and avoid arrest. Get the matter taken care of and get your driving privileges restored with the state. I want to thank Judge Thorne for his insight into this program and I hope those who need it take advantage of the program.”
